CALL FOR ABSTRACTS The Program Committee cordially invites you to submit an abstract for a contributed oral or poster presentation for ASN 2017. Authors wishing to contribute papers to ASN 2017 must submit an abstract for review by the Program Committee. SUBMISSION SYSTEM All abstracts must be submitted electronically. We strongly encourage all authors to familiarize themselves with the system PRIOR to the deadline date. The system will allow authors to submit abstracts (with up to 350 words), then after it has been accepted authors will be able to view their abstract online in an abstract archive. HOW TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT The presenting author must be registered to attend the meeting. When registering, be sure to select the option for "registration + abstract submission". Once your fees have been paid online, the abstract submission button will be activated. The 1st abstract is free and $25 for each abstract submitted after that. NOTE: Meeting registration is required before you can proceed to submit your abstract. Abstract Submission Instructions REVIEW PROCESS The ASN Program Committee reviews each abstract submission for quality, ethical guidelines and scientific merit. A blind grading process is used to ensure anonymity and equality. From the online submissions, the Abstract Committee will determine the qualified abstracts to be presented as posters during the Poster Sessions and the Oral Presentation sessions. If you want to be considered for an Oral Presentation, you will have the opportunity to indicate that on your abstract submission form. JOURNAL PUBLICATION All accepted abstracts will be published electronically in a special supplemental issue of ASN NEURO. ORAL PRESENTATIONS The Session Chair will select 6-8 speakers to present their work in a focused and cohesive research area. The number of slots is limited and preference wil be given to young investigators (e.g. new faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and senior graduate students). Please note that authors whose abstracts are selected for oral presentation will NOT present a poster unless requested. Notifications will be sent out in December 2016. |
POSTER PRESENTATIONS The Program Committee will select abstracts from all submissions to be presented as posters during the Poster Sessions. Please note that authors whose abstracts are selected for Oral presentation will NOT be a part of the poster sessions unless requested. All posters will be remain up for the entire conference. AWARDS Special efforts have been taken to encourage Young Investigator participation. ASN travel awards are available and funding has been requested through NINDS for additional travel funds.
