ASN Neuro - Our Society's Journal

About The ASN Neuro Journal

ASNeuro is an open access, peer-reviewed journal uniquely positioned to provide investigators with the most recent advances across the breadth of the cellular and molecular neurosciences. ASN Neuro is the official Journal of the American Society for Neurochemistry and is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Letter From The Editor

Dear ASN Members:

Our society journal, ASN NEURO, is now published by Taylor & Francis (T&F), one of the world’s leading academic publishers, known for its extensive catalog of nearly 150,000 book titles and over 2,700 journals, including society journals like ours.

Since July 2024, the new T&F site has been live, and submissions are back in full swing. One significant update is an increase in author publication charges (APCs), though ASN members continue to enjoy a 40% discount on APCs.

In terms of metrics, ASN NEURO has seen fluctuations in impact factor over recent years. Since 2018, the impact factor rose from 2.7 to a high of 5.2 in 2021. Recent years (2023 and 2024) have seen a decline, with the current impact factor at 3.9, potentially due to temporary submission site disruptions and the transition to a new publisher. Nonetheless, the rate of accepted and cited papers continues to grow. We are currently accepting manuscripts in all areas of neurochemical research, including full-length and short original reports, reviews, methods papers, commentaries, and clinical studies focusing on neurochemical mechanisms

To submit your article, please visit the T&F submission site below.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or any of the Senior Editors.

Sincerely,

Douglas Feinstein, Editor-in-Chief ASNeuro
