The Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport provides quality air service to visitors who are traveling to the region by plane. Air service is available through four major airline carriers via eight international airports. The airport is less than 5 miles from Downtown Roanoke and easily accessible to many of the great outdoor opportunities in the region, including the Appalachian Trail, Carvins Cove, and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Amtrak Train

Take the train to Virginia's Blue Ridge! The Amtrak platform is located in Downtown Roanoke and it is the southernmost stop along the Northeast Regional route, providing easy access to Virginia's Blue Ridge from Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Boston on a beautiful ride through the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.
