ASN Council Nominations

Call For Nominations To The ASN Council

The American Society for Neurochemistry is looking for members who are visionary, passionate and committed to step into a more active role as a member of the ASN Council.

Newly elected officers and councilors will join a group of dedicated ASN members representing the fields of neurochemistry, molecular, and cellular neurobiology, working to advance new research findings and create opportunities for educating and mentoring young investigators.

We invite all members in good standing to submit nominations for open ASN Officer and Council positions. The ASN Standing Rules require individuals to receive a minimum of six (6) nominations to be placed on the ballot.

Open Positions Accepting Nominations

You are invited to provide your nomination for the positions listed below.

  • President-Elect (1 position) for the term 2027-2031. This position will succeed to President for the term 2027-2029. Only 1 nomination will be accepted.

  • Secretary-Elect (1 position) for the term 2027-2031. This position will succeed to Secretary for the term 2027-2029. Only 1 nomination will be accepted.

  • Treasurer-Elect (1 position) for the term 2027-2029. This position will succeed to Treasurer for the term 2027-2029. Only 1 nomination will be accepted.

  • Council Member (6 seats) for the term 2027-2030. You may nominate up to 8 members for the open Council positions.

  • Alternate (1 position) for the term 2027-2030. Only 1 nomination will be accepted.

    Nominations Deadline: October 16, 2026.

    You will be notified when the online ballot is activated, on or before February 25, 2027.
