Position Title: Assistant Professor

Summary of Position: The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physiology beginning August 15th 2024. Required qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related fields with an excellent record of innovative research and academic scholarship broadly related to physiology and studying molecular mechanisms of human diseases at the organismal level. The candidate is expected to have a record of postdoctoral training and peer-reviewed publications, the potential to secure extramural funding, a commitment to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and mentor a diverse student population. Applicants with research interests complementing the Department of Biological Sciences research foci, including Proteostasis, Genome Integrity and Cancer Biology, Immunology/Microbiology/Virology, will be preferred.
