Position Title: Irwin Belk Endowed Associate Professorship

Summary of Position: The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (https://biology.charlotte.edu/) seeks applicants for the Irwin Belk Endowed Chair at the Associate Professor level (tenured) beginning Aug 15th 2024. The Irwin Belk Chair in Biological Sciences was established by Mr. Irwin Belk to support a leader in the study of the molecular mechanisms of human disease. Required qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related fields, as well as an established history of funding and academic scholarship. Special consideration will be given to candidates whose research complements departmental research foci (Proteostasis, Genome Integrity and Cancer Biology, Immunology/Microbiology/Virology). Screening of applications will begin on November 15th 2023 and continue until the position is filled.
