ASN Young Investigator Educational Enhancement (YIEE)
Travel Grants
The American Society for Neurochemistry is pleased to announce the availability of $500 travel grants to attend the ASN 39th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas!
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate students in the final year of study for the PhD degree or postdoctoral scientists who received their PhD or MD degree within the last six years, as of March 1, 2008.
- Applicants must reside in the Western Hemisphere, but need not be members of the ASN. (Applicants from Latin America should apply also for the Young Latin American Scholar’s Award.)
- Applicants must be first (presenting) author of a submitted abstract.
- Applicants may not have received a YIEE Award from ASN previously.
- No more than two applicants from any laboratory may apply.
TO APPLY:
Step One: Please fill out the online application form.
Step Two: Please prepare, as a single PDF document, the following items:
- A brief cover letter containing a statement of your career goals.
- A signed letter of support from your dissertation supervisor or research director confirming your financial need.
- A two-page NIH format curriculum vitae – (link to example)
